This week, Friday is going to be a bit different. Normally I’d recap my week of workouts, but since this was my first week on my half iron training, I want to make sure the weekend I recap actually go along with the correctly corresponding week. So recaps are being shoved over to Mondays from now. So just hold onto your butts for a few days, I’ll divulge all my training deets then.
In other news, I’m sick. I have a rock solid immune system, I do not get sick. So this is very frustrating for me. Seriously, ask me the last time I was legitimately sick. I’ll tell you when it was; my freshman year of college. I get the occasional sniffles every winter like anyone, but I don’t really get sick-sick. So to say I’m cranky over my current condition is an extreme understatement.
I did manage to get myself up at 5am yesterday though and get to the coached swim practice. It was a million percent more productive than I would have been had I gone an hour later by myself. And I swam 800 more meters than I had myself slated for. So a big win there. And, my workout is done an hour earlier. I might start bringing a change of clothes and doing my afternoon workout right after swimming for a brick style and spare my evenings. That would be nice.
Today is supposed to be a rest day and with being sick I should adhere to it. But it’s going to be 45 and sunny tonday! Then it’s going back downhill tomorrow and back into highs in the low 20’s by Monday. I’m dying to ride my bike today. That might happen. Might. We’ll see. I feel like I need to take advantage. Then I’d take a real rest day Sunday instead of doing an hour spin class. Hmmmm.
